I own three 1911s, and while that's not a lot compared to many others who post here, it is enough for me.....right now. That said, I too join in the chorus that is increasing in volume.....OK..another 1911.....How nice. Please don't get me wrong.....I love the 1911; it was my sidearm for 21 years of commissioned Army service. I just think that the gun market is getting pretty saturated with 1911s. This might be good business, but it is getting somewhat boring.
The 1911s are just a very popular handgun.Right now they are hot.People are buying them so companies keep making them.Simply a supply and demand thing.Look how hot .380s are also.I own 2 1911s and probably will buy a couple more when I have the money.They really are great handguns.
