Brownells Products Awarded Pistolsmith Guild Seal
October 20, 2009Printer Friendly | Email |
MONTEZUMA, Iowa--Brownells, the gunsmith-supply business, announced that 21 of its products have received Seals of Approval from the American Pistolsmiths Guild.
The products, ranging from Brownells 1911 Auto Slide Fitting Set (#080-745-000) to the complete Smith & Wesson Armorer's Service Kit (#080-722-010) were all submitted to the Guild for approval and met the rigorous standards set by the organization for quality. See all the products at www.Brownells.com.
The American Pistolsmiths Guild established rigid standards for quality and lasting value, which all its members must meet and maintain, over 30 years ago. At a recent annual meeting, members realized no standards as strict as those of Guild members existed in the firearms and related industries.
As a result, members voted to establish a team to evaluate and test products against quality and functional standards as stringent as the Guild sets for membership. All products submitted for consideration must be of domestic manufacture. Those passing the team evaluation will gain an official American Pistolsmiths Guild Seal of Approval.
The Seal is not awarded in perpetuity. At pre-established intervals, the product must be resubmitted for a reevaluation. A decrease in quality will be cause to revoke any use of the Seal in association with the product.
