SHOT Show Video: Two Big-Hole Wheelguns from Kahr Arms

In June 2010, Kahr Arms purchased Minnesota-based firearms manufacturer, Magnum Research, Inc., maker of the Desert Eagle Pistol and BFR Revolvers in .44 Magnum, .45 LC/.410 or .45/70. Kahr Arms offers a selection of other niche-type firearms, such as the “Tommy Gun” and Auto-Ordnance line of M1 .30 caliber carbines. In this video, Gun Tests Contributing Editor Roger Eckstine shows off two of the company’s big-hole BFR wheelguns.

SHOT Show Video: Easy Disassembly for the Modular Beretta Nano

Beretta USA introduced the BU-9 Nano as its entry into the pocket 9mm pistol category last September. Initial shipments of the American-made pistol left the Accokeek, Maryland factory beginning in November 2011, with a suggested retail price of $475. In this video, Gun Tests’ Contributing Editor Roger Eckstine gets a detailed explanation of how easy the Nano is to break down for maintenance. The Nano's modularity provides for simple disassembly and easy cleaning. Safely disassemble the pistol by first engaging the striker deactivator, a patent pending safety mechanism that eliminates the need to pull the trigger prior to disassembly.

(GunReports.com) -- Chrysler's new line of Outdoorsman pickup trucks includes a gun closet over the left rear wheelwell.

The Ram truck division product is called the The Mopar RamBox Holster. The built-in gun rack can hold two rifles or shotguns inside one of the lockable, watertight compartments located on either side of the pickup bed.

A $205 option - on top of the $1895 price of the RamBox feature itself - the rack can be rotated to hold six fishing poles.

The Outdoorsman starts at $28,350 and includes standard features like scratch-resistant bumpers, puncture-resistant tires, and a towing package.

Chrysler has neat ideas. To bad they make lousy trucks.

Priced too high' Im buying a Mahindra diesel crew cab for $20,000.

Oh, good! Now a pick up owner can expect the thieves to have and easier time stealing his rifles. And, if he isn't carrying rifles at the time, it's only body damage to the tune of thousands of dollars, huh?

'Nice idea, but I'd rather see the auto makers engineer and build a convenient compartment for a handgun that is right next to the driver's seat. While I know there are lots of fancy little gadgets one can install in the cockpit, I think it would be great if there was a specifically designed compartment for a standard sized handgun to be handy to the driver. While I routinely carry a handgun on my strong side hip, I also have a "resident handgun" strategically placed in each of my cars, so I don't have to contort my body to get my hip carried piece into action while seated in the car.

sorry to dsiagree with you larry,i have a dodge ram and love it.chevy is the one who makes lousy trucks.

Sorry to disagree with you, samuel p, but Consumer Reports (of legendary reliability)says the best pickups are made by Toyota, followed by neck-and-neck Ford and Chevy, with Dodge a distant fourth.

Hey, Gaviota.....

It's nice to hear from you! I hadn't seen anything posted from you in a while, and I was hoping that you are alright.

Thanks, Colonel. I hit a rough patch at work last April, and had to work like a dogsled dog until two weeks ago, so I haven't had much time for anything else. Nice to be back to a familiar routine.

I envy you your energetic retirement!

Gaviota

Well, Gav.....

Hang in there old friend, your time will come.
