(GunReports.com) Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, wants to cut all federal funding for any Justice Department program that emulates the botched gun-trafficking investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious.
He filed an amendment to a spending bill for U.S. agricultural, commerce, justice and science-related programs that would halt federal funding for any programs that allow firearms to be transferred to drug cartels if law-enforcement officials cant keep track of the weapons at all times.
When 2,000 firearms go missing and at least one is found at the crime scene of a murdered U.S. Border Patrol agent, we must do everything possible to ensure that such a reckless and ill-advised operation like Fast and Furious is not repeated, Cornyn said in a statement emailed to reporters Monday afternoon.

Agreed! And maybe we should cut off funds for the DEA too - they've been losing the same war on drugs for 40 years. Talk about good money after bad.
