SHOT Show Video: Two Big-Hole Wheelguns from Kahr Arms

In June 2010, Kahr Arms purchased Minnesota-based firearms manufacturer, Magnum Research, Inc., maker of the Desert Eagle Pistol and BFR Revolvers in .44 Magnum, .45 LC/.410 or .45/70. Kahr Arms offers a selection of other niche-type firearms, such as the “Tommy Gun” and Auto-Ordnance line of M1 .30 caliber carbines. In this video, Gun Tests Contributing Editor Roger Eckstine shows off two of the company’s big-hole BFR wheelguns.

SHOT Show Video: Easy Disassembly for the Modular Beretta Nano

Beretta USA introduced the BU-9 Nano as its entry into the pocket 9mm pistol category last September. Initial shipments of the American-made pistol left the Accokeek, Maryland factory beginning in November 2011, with a suggested retail price of $475. In this video, Gun Tests’ Contributing Editor Roger Eckstine gets a detailed explanation of how easy the Nano is to break down for maintenance. The Nano's modularity provides for simple disassembly and easy cleaning. Safely disassemble the pistol by first engaging the striker deactivator, a patent pending safety mechanism that eliminates the need to pull the trigger prior to disassembly.

David Codrea: Why is Obama Administration Blocking Surplus Rifles?

August 18, 2010

Printer Friendly | Email |

(GunReports.com) -- From David Codrea, Gun Rights Examiner: "The U.S. government opposed South Korea’s bid to sell hundreds of thousands of aging U.S. combat rifles to American gun collectors," Jung Sung-ki of The Korea Times reports.

"The ministry announced the plan last September as part of efforts to boost its defense budget, saying the export of the M1 Garand and carbine rifles would start by the end of 2009."

So why didn't they?

"The U.S. administration put the brakes on the plan, citing “problems” that could be caused by the importation of the rifles."

Problems? What problems?

"The problems the U.S. government cited were somewhat ambiguous, said an official at the Ministry of National Defense on condition of anonymity."

Oh, in other words, made up problems. The administration came up with baseless excuses about aging rifles that "could cause problems such as firearm accidents."

It's more proof of the anti-gun agenda the Obama administration has been forced by political realities to keep under wraps during his first term.…

He may have erased his anti-gun wishlist from the White House website (an old tactic perfected by his ideological forebears), but his hostility to our right to keep and bear arms remains. He just doesn't dare show his hand. Yet.

Yup, the importation of these aged weapons would cause problems. The problem is that more Americans would have more quality rifles! That is a scary problem to the obamans.

Obamans: Technically, these are assault rifles and are therefore inherently evil. They must be stopped from entering the country. Nobody needs these rifles.

My reply: It looks more and more like we may need them and fellow patriots to stand for our rights.

What I find most concerning is that this is coming via a Korean news source.

PVB - Would you expect ABC, CBS, NBC, or the New York Times to report on this? They do their best to cover up stuff like this. The South Koreans are pretty good business people now and figured they could make a buck.

and did any of you actually believe his lies about supporting the 2nd and not wanting your guns when he was running for election...

thank the lord for the supreme court we have today

The only reason there has not been an armed insurection is that most people still have something to lose. It is when we have nothing to lose and cannot provide for our families that the Government will began to fear us. They do not want an ARMED angry population with nothing to lose. If present trends continue without remedy that time will come. We defeated two global powers with the M-1 Garand and M-1 carbine. We can do it again. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

dgray - they really should be reporting this, and that is what I find disturbing. Surprising? No.

Garands,M1 carbines, we have never been offered the surplus M14's that were already here either. Chinese make lots of those and some day heaven forbid we could face a hoard of M14 clones on a battle field. Personally I believe the US Constitution is very clear and that it trumps any additional"laws" passed. Tyranny is the people fear the government ,the 2nd ammendment is supposed to prevent that. Also taxpayers already own those weapons "we"bought them and built them. We have a right to them, sort of a tax refund one might think.

Robert T, I am with you own it was our money that made them and let them use them why not be able to buy them back for our own use. This to me is just another way Obeyme is going to take away our 2nd amendment rights right out from under us one way or another, the other the UN. thats why I say Get the US out of the UN and the Corupt UN out of the US.

God Bless America and Our Troops Past Present and Future Keeping To My Oath Locked Loaded and Keeping My Powder Dry

Why don't we see if we can get the DCM to buy them? Congress can give the funds to DCM with an import license attached. Or better yet, we probebly gave them to Korea, now they can give them to the DCM. Eather way we can buy them from the DCM.

Obama was elected with the help of anti-gun money. Lots of it.

This is nothing more than a small payback to his loyal, anti-gun supporters.

In their minds - his and his contributors - the payback hasn't even begun yet....
