re: US Kills Osama
I gotta say that I'm a bit troubled by the fact that there is no body now, and no photos. AND this a.m. I read that there are photos out of 3 dead men in the courtyard after the Seals left, but that none of them were Bin Laden - this after news reports that the dead were Osama, his brother, and one guard.
Remember, there's that Pakki security guy who was claiming in 2002 that they knew he was dead at the time. I'm wondering if they didn't just kill two of his 17 or so brothers.... What do you guys think? Am I being too much of a cynic?
re: Obama admin seeks more comments on rifle sale plan
Apparently, they did NOT get the kind of response they wanted, so they're trying again. Load 'em up boys! They want comments, give them comments - galore.
re: new FBI Documents / spyware
Well, we already know they're spying on us all the time - gun guys or not. They spy on everybody now. But if you believe that there is an agenda against gun owners, then you should be taking steps to protect yourself - and sadly I don't know what those are. But really, just for personal and financial protection you should have a network and computer tighter than a frog's ass.
ONE NATION UNDER SURVEILLANCE has some good suggestions, but they literally require lifestyle changes to implement them all. (Y'all know who wrote that book, right?) The Electronic Frontier Foundation may have some too, as will other privacy-oriented organizations. Use a private surfing engine to look for those (e.g. Scroogle.com or Ixquick.com, etc.) as Google and Yahoo turn over your search records regularly. Do NOT depend on the NSA's recent home network security guide - what would make you think that the guys who are paid to spy on you would recommend anything they can't already go right thru?
hey folks- call your representatives and ask them to support H.R. 822: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011 at the following link http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h112-822
This would address reciprocity of concealed carry permit holders across state lines. Last year the Thune Amendment only lost by one vote. So here is the chance to make reciprocity win ... same as a drivers license is good across state lines... a few exceptions may exist such as carry into NYC or some other areas where the gun phobics are still entrenched.. but call your representatives and senators to get this passed once and for all... pass it now and make stiffer federal rules less likely... if the power is already ordered by congress the atf can't over rule....
