(GunReports.com) - LaserLyte introduced the CK-AMF9 Side Mount Laser for the Ruger LC9 at the recently concluded SHOT Show in Las Vegas. The CK-AMF9 design also fits the Kel-Tec PF9 pistol.
It mounts on the gun by pushing out and replacing the stock frame pins with the new threaded pins (included), then the CK-AMF9 mounts on these pins with an included screw. Then activate the laser button with the
Small handguns, whose application is most likely to be in close contact, are good candidates for installation of laser sights. When installing them, it is of paramount importance that the laser unit is firmly attached so as to afford no movement of the unit when the pistol is handled. Some may recall my comments concerning the installation of a Crimson Trace laser on my Ruger LCP. While I was finally able to solve the problem, until I did so, I often found the laser printing its dot slightly off from where the gun was actually pointing. Tight is good. How was it you finally resolved that issue canovack? Was it denture cement? (just kidding) when is KelTec going to get the PMR-30 out in the field. I and few other I unstand have been waiting for one for over a year or more. PMR-30 is available now. Some of the guys here already have theirs. Look at the other post about the gun, and read the comments. I would like to see/have a way to round off the bottom of the laser so it does not dig into your hand An Important Note for GunReports.Com Readers: Our goal on this website is to foster a free expression of views while reining in language that crosses the line of civil discourse.
