I don't think there can really be intelligent discussion concerning which is better. Trying to compare the 5.56x45mm M16 and the 7.62x51mm M14 is essentially like comparing apples and oranges.....well maybe oranges and tangerines. It's the mission that governs the employment. It will always be the mission.....the mission.....the mission!
