MasterPiece Arms Defender Carbines Now California Compliant

(GunReports.com) -- MasterPiece Arms Defender Carbines features new magazine lock design fully meets and exceeds the States of Californias requirements for classifying the factory shipped rifles as California compliant.
MasterPiece Arms announces the Defender Carbine Models MPA1SST, MPA20SST and MPA9300SST now meet and exceed the State of Californias requirements on the sale and ownership of semi-automatic center-fire rifles.
California restricts the sale and possession of semi-automatic center fire rifles with the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and other specified features. California regulations, however, exclude magazines that require the use of a tool to be removed from being deemed detachable magazines."
The new CA line of MPA Defender Carbines meets and exceeds these requirements by developing a magazine lock design, thereby rendering the magazine non-detachable under California law.
The new design includes the absence of the protruding tab at the bottom of the magazine catch, which normally permits the user to push with the thumb and remove the magazine. The tab has been machined flush with the main body of the magazine catch with a precision hole added at a 30 degree angle. The removal of the tab eliminates the ability of the user to remove the magazine unless an external tool is used.
To remove a California compliant Defender Carbine magazine, the user inserts the MPA provided tool into the precision hole and pushes downward, actuating the internal magazine release system.
Well, isn't it nice that the PRC, Peoples' Republic of California, approved this carbine. Is it only me, or is it getting boring, that for almost every sort of consumer product, California has to set itself up as having a higher standard for approval of things that will be sold within its' borders? It gives one the impression that the folks who reside in California aren't thought of by their government to be trustworthy of making decisions for themselves, so Big Brother Cali must do their thinking for them. I know that profit is the motive for gun makers to butcher a firearm to make a sale in Kalifornia. It's wrong!!! Don't do it. Let the shooters in Kalifornia do without. When they rise up and take back their right to own real guns then then they will appreciate them. By making the gun compliant we are just saying that the law is ok, giving other states bad ideas. Amen to that, TX Rebel. Every time we accept the provisions of laws that infringe on our common liberties, we are, in essence, agreeing with that law. While I have a Texas CHL, it is one area of legality where I believe it to be prudent. I would much rather be a "legal CHL" if and when I have to bring my handguns to bear, than to have nothing but the Constitution to explain why I have a handgun concealed under my shirt. Canovack - the CA approvals also indicate the level of arrogance and elitism extent in many Californians. It's too bad there aren't enough Bear1's and visigoth's to get rid of Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, etc. TX Reb - I also agree. (Sorry Bear...) I believe you're all correct in what you say - but let me remind you that even a compliant rifle is a hindrance to oppressive rulers and criminals alike. I wouldn't live in CA, but if I did already I sure wouldn't be without a gun just because it had to be compliant. Well, hell yeah, david b..... The point that we are making here, though, is that the arrogant solons in the PRC figure it's their sworn duty to protect the poor peons from themselves..... What California considers a "non-detachable" magazine is one that cannot be detached from its housing except with the use of a tool of some sort. In other words, if you can push a button or depress a lever with a finger, it is a detachable magazine. But if you have to use a tool (say the tip of a bullet) to accomplish the same purpose, the magazine is non-detachable. Our politicians are dolts. They can't even violate our rights efficiently. I seriously doubt if any of them could efficiently pour urine out of their boot if told that the instructions were on the bottom. Thats Ok PVB and all, we here in commiefornia republic of just hat to figure out a way so that it looks like you need atool to take the mag out but you don't, but you can use one incase big brother is watching. Some guys call them a quick switch, that way if you out with friends or if the fit hits the shan, it looks good and works the way big bro wants if they start lookin. Oh and by the way we have a Riverside County Superviser is trying to get 13 counties to become South California, these 13 couties are more conservitive than the commie left, I am backing him all the way to become the 51 state and if not to at least secsede to be part of AZ, so we can have some decent Constitutional rights and the rest can keep being a nanny state of give me everything that others work for and anti-gun morons. So if you get the chance look him up and please incerage him to work hard as he can on it. We need the suport. Thanks and God Bless you all. God Bless America and Our Troops Past Present and Future. Keeping to My Oath Locked Loaded and Keeping My Powder Dry. Get the US Out of the UN and the UN Out of the US Sorry about the spelling guys and gals but having one of those days since my Mom past away the other day and been working on the phone with my big little brother to get things done for memorial on 9-3-11 and to top it off the old body dosn't want to work right, so please forgive the spelling. God Bless America and Our Troops Past Pesent and Futue. Keeping to My Oath Locked Loaded and Keeping My Powder Dry. Get the US Out of the UN and the UN Out of the US Bear, having lost my own mother a few years ago, I know what you are going through. I just wish I had brothers or sisters who could have helped. You have my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. Hey, bear1, I'm sorry to hear of your loss of your mother. We can always rationalize the death of loved ones with the thought that death is a part of life in the normal way of all things. It is, however, difficult when the loss strikes so close to home. My dad passed in 1999, and my mom passed in 2009. While they both had achieved some pretty creditable ages and were suffering with ill health, it still hurts when they go. My deepest sympathies are with you and your family. Bear - sorry to hear about your mom. Don't worry about the spelling though 'cause we understand exactly what you're sayin! California is a nanny state where the oppression of the population is not only condoned by demanded by San Francisco, Los Angeles and Sacramento. A gun, especially a "black" gun is to be feared and the police called immediately if seen. I'm tired of being demonized because of my hobby. The Democrat-dominated legislature controls far too much of my life. I only wish I could join those who are voting with their feet! Crazed Dog, you spund like you are among many of us here in commiefornia republic of. But we have to keep trying to get rid of those control our stat Government. There is one way we can rid ourselves of the SF,LA,Sac, bunch and that is to suport the County Superviser from Riverside, and do our best to get the 13 Counties to succede from California and become the 51st state of South California, these Counties are mostly Conservitive Counties that beleave in our Constitional rights and upper most the 2nd Amendment. I just wish I could remember his name but can't off hand, but you can google it or look it up. Just remember he is from Riverside County. Also I am hoping that all here will give him their suport in any way they can. Thank You. God Bless America and Our Troops Past Present and Future. Keeping to My Oath Locked Loaded and Keeping My Powder Dry. Get the US Out of the UN and the UN Out of the US Just so everyone in here knows, the Riverside County Supervisor who is proposing this secession is named Jeff Stone. He's a sensible enough fella--for a politician type.
