(GunReports.com) -- Anthony Matarese, Jr., beat out Bill McGuire and Wendell Cherry for top honors at the 2012 U.S. Open Sporting Clays Championships held July 17-22 at Caribou Gun Club in LeSueur, MN.
Matarese edged out McGuire by a single bird, 193 to 192, to win the event. Cherry took third with a 188 total.
Ashleigh Hafley was the Lady champion (170), edging runner-up Jenni Clark (169) and 3rd-place finisher Diane Sorantino (166).
