Medal of Honor Winner, SEAL, announced as ITI Sniper Team

(GunReports.com) -- International Training, Inc. (ITI), the training division for G4S, announced today the line-up of its official sniper competition team. Comprised of two members, the ITI Sniper Competition Team will be ambassadors to the military and law enforcement communities and will show how skills learned from their many courses in Texas and Virginia can benefit a trained sniper.

The team’s first competition will be at the Sniper/Observer Competition, held at the Storm Mountain Training Center, Inc. in Elk Garden, WV October 14-16, 2011. All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the Wounded Warrior Project to enhance their continued assistance and support of our service members.

Team members include:

Dakota Meyer
Dakota Meyer is a U.S. Marine veteran and recipient of the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Ganjgal on September 8, 2009, part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Kunar province, Afghanistan. Meyer enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2006 and was later deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in 2007 as a Scout Sniper with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines. He gained national attention for his actions in Afghanistan during his second deployment in Kunar province with Embedded Training Team 2-8. Meyer was awarded the Medal of Honor in a ceremony on September 15, 2011 by President Barack Obama.

Corps. He quickly transitioned to the U.S. Navy to pursue high-level Special Operations as a U.S. Navy SEAL. He is an expert in Counter-Terrorist Operations and Hand to Hand / Combat Fighting. Sawyer is also a U.S. Marine & SEAL Advanced Sniper Instructor, as well as a U.S. Federal Air Marshal & Manager. In the realm of "High-Threat, Mobile Security," Craig has run the specialized teams responsible for providing security to U.S. Senators, Hilary Clinton, John McCain, U.S. Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, as well as U.S. Ambassador John Negroponte and other U.S. Ambassadors and key U.S. leaders in the various war zones. He has expertise in surveillance and counter-surveillance and has had international experience in 54 countries.

It sure is sad to see that Mr. Sawyer is having to put his honorable life on the line for some of the most anti-American people in our government.

At last some of the deserving heros of this ten year war are getting the credit they and others deserve. All of us old(not former) Marines are very proud again.
