Repairing Inexpensive Colt 22 Rifles: Courier, Colteer and Stagecoach

If someone were to ask you which products Colt has sold over the years, would you say a .22 semiautomatic rifle? I didn’t think you would. Colt made three versions of .22 rifles, the Courier, Colteer and Stagecoach, as well as others under several private-label names for Sears, Wards and other companies. This alloy rifle shot well, but did not hold up well. Unless it was kept oiled and clean, the alloy parts wore very rapidly. In spite of this, the little Colt rifles were good enough lightweight shooters that most owners will pay to get them fixed rather than discard theirs.

Troubleshooting Ejection Failures On the Remington 1100

Introduced in 1963, the Remington Model 1100 shotgun has been around for over 40 years now. Variations include a sporter for field shooting, a Magnum version for ducks and geese, as well as a skeet and trap model for those who enjoy breaking clay targets. In all, there have been well over 3,500,000 Model 1100s produced over this period of time so you are bound to see one (or more) come across your bench. In this article, I’ll cover some of the common problems that result in ejection failures along with a few of the possible glitches that aren’t seen very often. And, of course, I’ll examine the cures that will help you get this shotgun back in service as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Evil + Stupid = Bipartisan

What's ahead for the midterms? Jeff Knox at The Firearms Coalition says, 'There might be a few Democrats who haven't been able to bring themselves to declare support for the Second Amendment, but the official party line is broad support for the constitutional right, while interpreting it in the narrowest terms, and doing all they can to undermine and dismantle it.' As for the other party, 'Republicans, on the other hand, are generally supportive of the right to arms, but few of them have any more understanding of the issue than do the Democrats. They definitely lack the resolve and the backbone to vigorously oppose the Democrats' attacks on the Constitution and the President's appointments of radical extremists to the courts and high level government positions.'

Judge David Hamilton

Obama Pushing Anti-Gun "Radical's Radical" to the Federal Bench

November 17, 2009

Printer Friendly | Email |

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Gun Owners of America group is warning gun owners to oppose the appointment of Judge David Hamilton to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

A GAO letter said, "Not surprisingly, Judge Hamilton's written answers to the Senate Judiciary Committee show his lack of understanding regarding the Second and Fourteenth Amendments. While Hamilton cannot ignore what the Supreme Court said in DC v. Heller (2008), he refuses to admit that the individual right to keep and bear arms applies anywhere outside of Washington, D.C. -- instead, he just says he will rely on evolving "case law [as] developed in earlier incorporation cases."

Also, Judge Hamilton spent a brief stint as a fundraiser for ACORN, an organization that lobbies against Second Amendment rights, most recently supporting a one-gun-a-month ordinance in Jersey City, New Jersey.

A GAO statement about Hamilton said, "Gun owners have much to be concerned about. Any time a judge who believes in rewriting the Constitution is elevated to sit as an appellate judge, that's a scary thing -- especially given the fact that most cases never reach the U.S. Supreme Court and are, thus, decided at lower levels in the federal judiciary."

Step by small step this administration is getting everything set up for the big day. I think they will really start going after gun laws right after the 2010 elections.

With some contributions of time, money, and hard work now, we may just see the conservatives take control of the House and Senate, and put Obama in the same position Clinton was in back in '96. How cool would that be?

If we are composed and united against the Obama push, we as a people can send him packing. He will end up back in Daly land organizing crime, not communities. He will have to carry a concealed weapon to defend his ideals. Remember, "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride". The damage his appointments are capable of will carry well into the future if we don't stop them in 2012. Lee W is correct, the movement has begun.

HOW DO THE POEPLE WE ELECT SLEEP AT NIGHT KNOWINLY APPOINT THESE PEOPLE TO RULE OVER US. I KNOW, THE RULE THEY MAKE DON'T APPLY TO THEM.

Hey, What's wrong with one gun a Month? I support one gun a month! Every citizen should have to buy at least one gun a month!

Maybe I am just gettin old but if we can last untill the 2010 election and get some good thinking people in office we just might be OK but I just got a feeling that with all the anti-gunners being place in offices all over and with a attack on one of our own military bases I got that old feeling I usesd to get in Nam that the fit is about to hit the shan. God Bless America and Our Troops Past, Present and future. Keeping to My Oath Locked, Loaded, and Keeping My Powder Dry

Yes, guys, we really do have to put on the push for a turnover of the US Congress in November 2010. If that can be done in such an overwelmingly decisive manner that Obama backs off of his quest for national disarmament, it may truly begin the sounding of the death knell for a second term of totalitarian socialism.

As a last resort, the founding fathers gave the people the last word. It is called the Second Amendment. Do we as citizens that have let it come to this have the guts to stand and take back our country? I guess it remains to be seen.

olderndirtcop, you have my word that I will NEVER hand over my guns. Whatever the cost, whatever it takes.
