Don’t give up if a replacement firing pin is unavailable from your catalog suppliers. Instead, use these tips to solve the problem.

One of the things some gun owners—engineers or fairly well-educated hobbyists who have a good grasp of mechanical things—ask about is how to handle the different kinds of pins in their guns. Particularly, they often want to know if their punches are the right ones, or if they can use a slightly different one without damaging their pins.

Mississippi's Philip Hemphill sweeps NRA's National Police Shooting Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. - Captain Philip Hemphill of the Mississippi Highway Patrol has won first place in the NRA's 47th annual National Police Shooting Championships (NPSC) Shooting Range Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The NRA's National Police Shooting Championships utilize real law enforcement shooting skills. Competitors start with guns holstered and fire timed matches with both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols from varying distances and positions. The aggregate scores from the revolver and semi-automatic pistol matches are used to crown a national champion.
