(GunReports.com) Weatherby features Range Certified accuracy assurance in its Mark V rifle line with the new Accumark RC, which comes with a SUB-MOA guarantee as well as a factory-shot target signed by company President Ed Weatherby.
Mark V Accumark RC rifles are tested at Weatherbys modern indoor range. Range technicians mount premium optics, boresight and test fire each rifle to determine the most accurate load using the Oehler Research 83 Ballistic Imaging System.
After testing, the rifle is cleaned and packed with the target signed by Ed Weatherby. Each rifle sports a special RC engraved floorplate.
Our Range Certified program now includes the Mark V Accumark, one of our most popular rifles among hunters and shooters, Ed Weatherby commented. The Mark V Accumark RC is certainly one of the most accurate production rifles available today.
All RC rifles are guaranteed to shoot SUB-MOA (a three-shot group of .99-inch or less) with specified Weatherby factory or premium ammunition.
The Mark V Accumark RC offers multiple accuracy-enhancing features, including a hand-laminated raised comb Monte Carlo composite stock with matte gel coat finish and spiderweb accents.
It also features a button-rifled #3 contour stainless steel fluted barrel. The barrel, which comes in 24-, 26- and 28-inch lengths depending on caliber, is free floated and topped with a recessed target crown. A Pachmayr Decelerator pad on the buttstock helps reduce felt recoil.
A CNC-machined 6061 T-6 aluminum bedding plate provides a solid, stable platform for the barreled action. The trigger is factory tuned and fully adjustable.

Svts @ GunReports.com. The most accurate factory rifle I have ever owned was a Fibermark in 7mm Weatherby mag. It would shoot any ammunition (I tried) under half an inch (3 shot groups), including "cheapo" Remington 175 gr Core-Lokts. I got stupid one day and sold it. I sure miss that rifle.
